It's democracy time. Please note these dates in your calendars:
Missouri: The Presidential Preference primary date is March 15, 2016. The last day to register in order to vote in the primary election is February 17, 2016! If you mail in your registration, it must be postmarked by February 17, 2016. For more information on registering to vote in Missouri: http://www.sos.mo.gov/elections/goVoteMissouri/register
Note that the Missouri primary is during spring break. Plan ahead! Here is information on absentee voting in Missouri: http://www.sos.mo.gov/elections/goVoteMissouri/howtovote#absentee
Kansas: Kansas is a caucus state. Both the Republican Party and Democratic Party Caucuses will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016. In Kansas, you must be a registered Democrat to participate in the Democratic caucus, and likewise, you must be a registered Republican to participate in the Republican caucus.
Democratic Presidential Caucus-- http://www.ksdp.org/caucus-2016/ (Note: for the Democratic Caucus, you CAN register the day of the caucus, from 1pm - 3 pm, at the caucus site. For more information check the website.)
Students, if you want to vote in Missouri: You are considered a Missouri resident if you live in the dorm or live off-campus in Missouri; therefore you are eligible to register to vote in Missouri. If you wish to vote with your outside-of-KC legal-home-permanent address please check with your election authority there.
